Traditionally,
the Hobo Festival is held on the second Saturday in October. The event celebrates the arrival of Fall and includes arts & crafts, live music, and activities for the entire family.

The visionaries for the first Hobo Festival in 1992 were Chairman R.J. Brown and Co-Chairman Douglas Rogers. It has continued annually except for catastrophic events, such as Hurricane Opal in 1995 and an unspecified reason in 2013.
